Casa, meaning house in Spanish, representing the home furnishing aspects of the business offering, and the cultural roots of the artist. Montalma, a hybrid of “montaña”, “alma” (mountain & soul in Spanish) and Montalvo, the artist’s last name, alluding to the commitment to nature, natural fibers, and the connection with the environment, using found and sustainable fabrics in the work. I created a brand mark that could easily be used on stamps and tags, recognizable from a distance and felt elegant in its simplicity.
